We are an independent insurance agency. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you complete a form on our website, call us, text us, or meet with us, we may collect:
- Name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number
- Date of birth and Medicare eligibility information
- Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI) or other policy identifiers, where required to service your coverage
- Names of your doctors, pharmacies, and current prescriptions, where you ask us to compare plans
- Information about your current insurance coverage and household or budget considerations you choose to share
- The content of messages, voicemails, and correspondence you send us
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the dates and times of your visits. We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site functionality and analytics. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies.
Information from third parties. With your authorization, we may receive information from insurance carriers, Medicare, or plan administrators in connection with an application or an existing policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your questions and provide the free plan review you requested
- Compare Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Part D, long term care, life, dental, vision, and hearing coverage options for you
- Prepare, submit, and service insurance applications and enrollments
- Contact you by phone, email, mail, or SMS about appointments, applications, annual plan reviews, and your existing coverage
- Comply with insurance laws, carrier requirements, and other legal obligations
- Maintain the security and proper operation of our website
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. SMS / Text Messaging
Consent is voluntary. Providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any insurance product or of receiving our services.
How you opt in. You give consent to receive SMS messages from Jeff Swain Senior Insurance Services by checking the SMS consent box on a form on our website, by providing your number and agreeing verbally during a call or appointment, or by texting us first.
What we send. Appointment scheduling and reminders, responses to your questions, follow-up on a plan review or application, annual enrollment period reminders, and other customer care messages related to your coverage.

No sharing of mobile data. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as needed to serve you or as required by law:
- Insurance carriers and plan administrators to request quotes, submit applications, and service policies you have authorized
- Service providers technology vendors who host our website, provide our CRM, and deliver email and SMS on our behalf, all of whom are contractually restricted to using your information only to provide services to us
- Regulators and legal authorities where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to comply with insurance and Medicare marketing regulations
- Professional advisors our attorneys, auditors, and errors-and-omissions carrier, where necessary
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, sell, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell lead data.
6. Protected Health Information
Some of what you share with us, such as prescriptions, conditions, or your Medicare number, may be protected health information. We handle this information in accordance with applicable federal and state privacy laws, including HIPAA where it applies to us, and disclose it only with your authorization or where the law permits.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet insurance recordkeeping, tax, and legal requirements, which in many cases means several years after a policy ends. When information is no longer required, we destroy it securely.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls and encrypted transmission where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You may at any time:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete information we are not legally required to retain
- Withdraw consent to email (unsubscribe link), SMS (reply STOP), or phone contact
- Ask us not to sell or share your personal information, a request we honor by default, since we do not do either
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, you have the rights described above and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

11. Children's Privacy
Our services are directed to adults, primarily Medicare-eligible individuals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Websites
Our website may link to other sites, including carrier sites and Medicare.gov. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their policies separately.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be identified clearly.
